Woman of Substance (NIKE ADEYEMI)

Nike Adeyemi was born on April 11 th 1967 to the family of Professor Gabriel and Princess Aderonke Ogunmola. She graduated from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) with a B.sc and M.sc in Architecture in 1989 and 1991 respectively.

She became a born-again Christian in 1986 and there and then decided to serve the Lord passionately.

Her walk with God birthed in her the burden for women in need and despair, especially ladies who have gone through one form of sexual abuse or the other. It was out of this burden that the vision for the Real Woman Foundation was born.

I Met My Husband In Prison - Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin (Culled from Nigerian tribune)

Top 10 Richest Nollywood Actresses (Naija Gals are Doing Good)

1. Kate Henshaw-Nuttall (N67 million)
Humble and hardworking, she is what one may call the silent millionaire. She became one of the actresses to try out other ventures. Spared by the tabloids' bashing, the African Movie Academy 2008 Best Actress winner has graced the screen of Nigerian television like an amazon.

2. Genevieve Nnaji (N64 million)
An icon in her own world, a screen goddess and the queen of Nollywood, many describe her as an industry of her own. The Best AMAA Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, Genevieve Nnaji is arguably the most popular actress in the Nigerian make-believe movie industry called Nollywood. She has over 10,000 registered fans on her website genevievennaji.ning.com and receives about 3,000 letters from fans all over the world every week. In September 2009 American mega television talk show host Oprah Winfrey named her one of the 100 most famous people in the world.

3. Ini Edo (N60 million)
She has remained very consistent and has proved time and time again that she was born to be a star. She has five buildings to her credit and another one to be completed by the end of the year. Most of the buildings are being rented to tenants. The actress, model and producer presently has nine landed properties which she either plans to build upon, fence for keeps or lease. What's your inspiration?

TEN WAYS TO FIND YOUR INSPIRATION...

1. Know what inspires you. Go back to your memories and
recall when you felt most inspired. What was the common
thread amongst the different times when you've been inspired?
Was it a quality about another person or your self? Was there
a theme to the times when you've been inspired, or have been
inspiring? Was it an action that a person took - or that you
took? Think about what's inspired you in the past. Look to
see what's missing now.

2. Learn to live with ambivalence while striving for perfection.
Inspiration lives between the two spaces of ambivalence and
perfection. Inspiration speaks to the best within our selves -
ambivalence is the messiness of our lives, the life process.
Perfection is the ideal, while ambivalence is its application.
Inspiration is what moves us forward in life - through the
ambivalence and towards the ideal.

3. Take a break from your life. Go to a movie or hike a
mountain to its highest vista. Surround yourself with the
sound of the rhythm of water, while the warmth of the sun
energizes your body. Move your body so you feel its life.
Keep your focus on nothing other than your experience. Live
in the present.

Childhood under threat

 According to UNICEF........
A staggering 15 million children under the age of 14 are working across Nigeria. Many are exposed to long hours of work in dangerous and unhealthy environments, carrying too much responsibility for their age. Working in these hazardous conditions with little food, small pay, no education and no medical care establishes a cycle of child rights violations.
